I am going on Oasis in mid-May 2010 and wanted a hotel near the port for a night or two prior to cruising- preferably a hotel that would provide a room with a view of the port. I was interested in booking the Ft Lauderdale Hilton Marina...but I'm starting to hear not so good things about it...lol...what do ya'll think? Any opinions/recommendations/suggestions/com… are accepted and appreciated! Thank You!

You can try the Radisson! Here's a link to their webcam that overlooks the canal that the cruise ships use and dock at in the port. The address and phone number are at the bottom of the webcam page.
